PENSACOLA, Fla. —
The University of West
Alabama tennis teams dropped a pair
of matches Thursday afternoon as the
Tiger men lost to No. 13 UC San
Diego, 9-0, while the women’s team
fell to No. 11 Georgia College &
State University, 9-0, at the Ralph
‘Skeeter” Carson Tennis Complex on
the campus of the University of West
Florida.
“The boys
played a tough Division II No. 13 UC
San Diego team and lost, but our No.
3, Mylan Anderson, split sets and
lost in the third set,”Tiger coach
Rod Hartzog said. “The girls played
No. 11 Georgia College & State
University and lost all of their
matches, but they put up a good
fight.”
Both teams
return to action with matches 6:00
p.m. Friday, March 30 against Delta
State. The Tiger men play No. 3
Armstrong Atlantic State Saturday,
March 31. |
