LIVINGSTON, Ala. — It took just three matches for University of West Alabama head volleyball coach Ron Arenz to get his first Gulf South Conference victory as the Tigers knocked off UAH, 3-1, during Family Day Saturday at Pruitt Hall.

West Alabama (4-11 overall, 1-2 GSC) took a 2-0 lead into the third game on scores of 30-23, 30-24 and had the Chargers on the ropes with double-match point at 29-27, but couldn’t put away UAH, as the Chargers forced a fourth game with the score of 29-31. The Tigers cruised to the win with a score of 30-21 in the fourth game.

Freshman Giuliana De Francesco paced the Tigers with 56 assists, while sophomore Allison Nail had 18 kills.
