FULTON, Miss. — The University of West Alabama tennis teams faced off in an exhibition match Monday afternoon with the Tiger men defeating Itawamba Community College 9-0, but saw the women fall 4-1.

On the men's side, UWA picked up singles wins from Sascha Dresselhaus (6-1, 6-1), Denton Meintjes (6-3, 6-1), Mylan Anderson (6-1, 6-0), Carlin Tighe (6-2, 6-0), Michael Garcia (6-0, 6-0), Brandon Harris (6-2, 6-2) and Alex Rondon (6-3, 6-2).

The #1 doubles team of Dresselhaus and Anderson won 8-3. The #2 doubles team of Tighe and Garcia clinched an 8-2 win, as Harris and Rondon also took a 8-1 victory.

The UWA women picked up its only win, as the doubles team of Amy Frazier and Rama Siby claimed a 8-5 victory for the Tigers.

UWA returns to action on Thursday, October 26 when the Tigers host Meridian Community College beginning at 2:00 p.m.
