LIVINGSTON, Ala. —A total of 22 University of West Alabama student-athletes were recently honored at UWA’s Honors Day Convocation on the Livingston campus.  The 39 awards handed out to the student-athletes recognized the accomplishments in the classroom and off the field extracurricular activities.

“Athletics are a very important part of why these young people are here, but the most important part is their education and ultimate graduation” said UWA Director of Athletics E. J. Brophy. “A quality education opens doors that simply cannot be realized in athletics, and we are very proud of these fine young people because they realize that and are committed to academic success”.
