Academic Coordinator for Athletics
Wes Gordon
Wes Gordon enters his first year on the UWA staff, serving as
Academic Coordinator for Athletics.
Gordon, a 23-year-old native of Columbus, Miss., comes
to Livingston after completing his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education
with an emphasis in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Mississippi State
University in May of 2004. He is also receiving a Master of Science in Sport
Administration from MSU and is a 2000 graduate of Columbus (Miss.) High School.
Just prior to accepting the position at UWA, Gordon
served as an Internship Compliance Officer for the Mississippi State Athletic
Department in the summer of 2005. He also has spent time as a graduate assistant
athletic trainer for the Department of Kinisiology at MSU and an NFL Intern
Student Athletic Trainer with the Chicago Bears in July of 2003.
He
also spent two seasons as a Game Operations Intern for the Columbus River
Dragons of the National Basketball Developmental League (2003-04) and is a
member of several athletic training organizations, including the Southeastern
Athletic Trainers’ Association.
