LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West Alabama recently held its Honors Day on campus.
Thirty-one UWA student-athletes were honored for their various
accomplishments off the playing field and in the classroom.
“The number one reason you come to school is to get an education and
graduate,” UWA Director of Athletics E. J. Brophy said. “We stress that
point every day here at West Alabama and it’s paying off. We want our
student-athletes to understand that when their playing days are over the
degree they receive from this great institution will pay dividends the rest
of their lives.”
