UWA Signs Partnership with B2 Networks

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama, member of the Gulf South Conference, and B2 Networks announced today a multi-year agreement to broadcast Tiger athletics and events on the leading broadband broadcast Network.

Commencing this fall, West Alabama will officially begin broadcasting all football, volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s basketball home games.  Broadcasts of other athletic and campus events, including select baseball and softball contests from Tartt Field and The UWA Softball Complex, will also be released at a later date.

“The University of West Alabama Department of Athletics is excited about our new partnership with B2 Networks” said UWA Director of Athletics E. J. Brophy. “B2 is the worldwide leader in broadband broadcasting, and I know that all of our great Tiger fans from near and far will enjoy the opportunity to watch so many UWA sporting events on a regular basis. B2 is a proven leader in their field and we are proud to be associated with their fine group. Now fans from coast to coast and around the globe can enjoy select Tiger sports at the touch of a button”.

UWA athletics and other selected campus events will be available for fans to view both live and On-Demand. Broadcasts will be aired through the school's website at http://athletics.uwa.edu/default.asp as well as www.b2tv.com.  Fans wanting to watch Tiger athletics via B2 Networks will need a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player. Games will be sold on an individual basis for $7 (US) and season packages for football and basketball will also be available.

"We are proud to welcome The University of West Alabama and its superior athletic program to our Network" stated Richard Brosal, B2 Networks Executive Vice President for Business Operations and Marketing.  "It’s very obvious that our new partners in Livingston Alabama share our passion for making connections with fans and the community at large.  We’re very much looking forward to working with Mr. Brophy and his dedicated staff to introduce a very customized broadcasting platform that we know Tiger fans, around the world, will love and enjoy.”
