LIVINGSTON, Ala.
– The University of West Alabama softball team will
have to wait an extra day to open the 2009 campaign, as
rain in the Livingston area forced the cancelation of
UWA’s pair of games on Friday in the UWA Invitational.
With the revised
schedule for the three-team invitational, the Tigers
will take the field at 10 a.m. against Spring Hill
College. The Badgers of Spring Hill will turn around to
face Judson College at Noon. The SHC and JC opened
Friday’s activity before the rain halted play. SHC
topped the Eagles in game one of the invite, 2-0. The
game was ruled a complete game due to it reaching five
innings.
The Red and White
will tangle with SHC for the second time of the day at 2
p.m. followed by a match up with Judson at 4 p.m.
