LIVINGSTON,

the diamond on Monday, March 9, hosting Lambuth
University at the UWA Softball Complex. First pitch
is set for 3 p.m. Live stats will be available at

The LU double
dip begins a six-game homestand, as the Tigers will
face Miles College on Thursday, March 12, as a tune
up for Gulf South Conference play that begins
Friday, March 13 against West Georgia.
The Tigers
(16-2) opened the weekend with wins over IUPUI and
Augusta State. UWA run-ruled the Jaguars of IUPUI,
an NCAA Division I program, 10-2, before claiming a
3-1 extra-inning affair over ASU. On Saturday, the
Red and White produced a pair of come-from-behind
wins over Georgia Southwestern and Florida
Southern. Trailing 3-0 to FSC, the Tigers strung
together a five-run sixth inning and held off a
final at-bat charge by the Mocs for the 5-3 win.
UWA edged Georgia Southwestern, 3-2 earlier on
Saturday.
The Eagles of LU enter Monday’s
twinbill with a 1-8 record on the season. In their
most recent outing, the Eagles were blanked by Freed
Hardeman, 6-0, 2-0. The lone win was over
Cumberland University on Feb. 24. UWA and LU were
scheduled to play in Jackson, Tenn. on Feb. 27-28,
but a rain and snow system moved through the area,
forcing the postponement. UWA will travel to LU on
Tuesday, March 17.
