Camp Brochure
LIVINGSTON, Ala.
– The University of West Alabama will host a
fastpitch softball camp on June 16-19 at the UWA
Softball Complex for girls ages 5-18. UWA head coach
Will Atkinson and his staff will direct the camp on the
Livingston campus.
The purpose of the
UWA fastpitch softball camp is to provide an enjoyable
and rewarding softball experience for each camper. The
camp helps fastpitch softball players develop
fundamentals, sportsmanship and advanced techniques that
will enhance their overall playing ability. The main
emphasis will be on the basic fundamentals and essential
skills in both the offensive and defensive phases of the
game. Pitching and catching instructions will also be
provided for players that are interested.
Assisting the staff
will be former UWA head coach Janet Montgomery. She
currently serves as Assistant Athletic Director and
Senior Women’s Administrator at UWA. Montgomery is the
winningest coach, of all sports, in UWA athletics
history with over 450 career wins.
The cost of the camp is $75.00 per
player and each camper will receive a free camp shirt.
Camp registration will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00
a.m. on the morning of June 16th. For more
