DECATUR, Ala. —
The final day of competition at the
UAH Charger Chillout at
Wilson-Morgan Softball Complex was
cancelled due to field conditions
caused by overnight storms as the
University of West Alabama softball
team finished play by 2-2 in
tournament action.
The Tigers (8-8) opened play Friday
with a 4-1 loss to Kentucky
Wesleyan, but bounced back with a
7-4 victory over Central Missouri
State.
Saturday, West Alabama rallied from
a 9-1 deficit with 10 unanswered
runs to knock off Bellarmine, 11-9.
In the second game, the Tigers fell
to No. 16 Barry, 18-2 in five
innings.
West Alabama returns to action on
Wednesday, February 28 in
Birmingham, Ala. against Miles
College. First pitch is scheduled
for 1:00 p.m. |
