LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of
West Alabama
wranglers hosted
their UWA Rodeo
Showdown this
weekend and the UWA
men claimed third
with 425 points.
Missouri Valley
College finished in
first with 980
points followed by
the University of
Tennessee at Martin
with 605 points.
Most of the men’s
points came in steer
wrestling with Ace
Campbell, who also
finished sixth in
the calf roping, won
the event with 170
total points. Cole Bilbro picked up
bronze in the event
with 80 total
points. Tray
Chambliss also
claimed a third
place finish with
125 points in
bareback riding. The
lone representative
from the women’s
side earning points
was Kaci Thompson as
she split second and
third with 90 total
points in goat
tying.
West Alabama returns
to action on
Thursday, Oct. 29 as
the Tiger wranglers
travel to Murray,
Ky. to compete in
the 34th annual
Murray State
University College
Rodeo at the Murray
State Expo Center.
The event runs
through Saturday,
Oct. 31 with each
night beginning at
7:00 p.m.
