LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West
Alabama wranglers will
host the UWA Rodeo
Showdown Thursday, Oct.
22 through Saturday,
Oct. 24 at the UWA Don
C. Hines Rodeo Complex
on the UWA campus.
Events start at 7:30
p.m. every night.
Tickets are $10.00 for
adults and $5.00 for
children six years of
age and under.
Over 200 participants
from across the Ozark
Region are scheduled to
take part in the Rodeo
Showdown this weekend in
Livingston, Ala.
“We are excited to host
our rodeo this weekend,”
UWA Head Coach Chad
Phipps said. “It will be
nice to be in front of
our home fans and
supporters. Hopefully
that will lift us up and
get us back on track in
the region. We’ve had
some bad luck the past
two rodeos and really
need to get back into
the swing of things this
weekend.”
The UWA men are ranked
third currently in the
region with 1,020 points
and are led by Justin
Caylor, who is 15th
nationally and second in
the Ozark Region in
saddle bronc riding.
Kaitlin St. Clair leads
the UWA women, who are
ranked seventh in the
region with 185 total
points. St. Clair is
third in the region in
barrel racing.
