Medeiros named cross
country coach
LIVINGSTON, AL— UWA Athletic
Director Dee Outlaw is proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Don Medeiros as
the school’s first ever fulltime men’s and women’s cross country
coach. Medeiros comes to UWA from the State University of West Georgia.

MEMPHIS, TN—The University
of West Alabama cross-country team wrapped up the 2005 schedule with a
trip to the Gulf South Conference Championships on Saturday. The UWA men
finished 11th (299), while the Tiger women finished 16th
(513). Wayne Miller paced the UWA men with a time of 28:28, which was good
enough for 49th place. Jillian Gibbs led the UWA women, running
a time of 23:57 (96th place). More

of West Alabama cross-country team continued the 2005 schedule with a trip
to the Mississippi College Invitational on Saturday. The UWA men finished
sixth (152), while the Tiger women finished 11th (279). Wayne
Miller paced the UWA men with a time of 27:31.94, which was good enough
for eighth place. Jacki Aiken turned in the best time for the UWA women
(28:31.94). More

FLORENCE,
AL—The
University of West Alabama cross-country team continued the 2005 schedule
with a trip to the University of North Alabama Invitational on Friday. The
UWA men finished second (53), while the Tiger women finished fourth (125).
Wayne Miller paced the UWA men with a time of 27:47, which was good enough
for fourth place. Jill Gibbs turned in the best time for the UWA women
(25:45). More
