Hembree named to GSC
All-Academic Team
LIVINGSTON, AL— West Alabama junior guard Jared Hembree has been named to the Gulf South
Conference Eastern Division All-Academic Team for the 2005-06 season,
marking the first time in his career he has received the honors. More
Gill earns Second Team
All-GSC East honors
LIVINGSTON, AL— Tiger
junior forward Stan Gill, a native of Los Angeles, Ca., was named to the
All-GSC Eastern Division Second Team on Tuesday. Gill (6-7, 210) joined
the Tigers after the Christmas break and made immediate impact, leading
the team in both scoring (14.4 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg).

Hembree finished with 20 points, on 6-of-13 shooting from downtown, but
West Alabama couldn’t overcome a slow first half, as they fell 87-62 at
Montevallo (24-3, 12-2 GSC) on Saturday night.

LIVINGSTON, AL— Jared Hembree drained 7-of-14 shots from long range, en route to scoring
29 points, to lead West Alabama to an 89-86 victory over Arkansas Baptist
(9-17 overall) on Thursday night.

contest to West Florida
LIVINGSTON, AL— The West Alabama men's basketball team struggled offensively, connecting
on only 37.9 percent of their shots from the field, including 22.2 percent
(8-of-36) from long range, en route to a 75-69 loss to West Florida
(14-12, 3-10 GSC) at home on Monday night.
