Hembree earns All-Academic honors

LIVINGSTON, AL— West Alabama junior guard Jared Hembree has been named to the Gulf South Conference Eastern Division All-Academic Team for the 2005-06 season, marking the first time in his career he has received the honors.  

This season, Hembree finished second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.2 points per contest, while leading the GSC with 112 made three-pointers. He was also named the GSC East Division Player of the Week once during the course of the year.

 A biology major from Vinemont, Ala., Hembree has a cumulative GPA of 3.26 on a 4.0 scale.
