Tigers eliminated from Regional Tournament
ABILENE, TX — Incarnate Word (38-19) pounded out 13 hits and got a standout pitching performance from freshman Mike Ruiz (5-1) as the Cardinals eliminated West Alabama from the South Central Regional Tournament with an 11-5 win on Saturday evening in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Ruiz went 7.2 innings and limited the Tiger offense to just two runs, both earned, on eight hits to go along with three strikeouts.  More

UWA fends off elimination with 8-4 win
ABILENE, TX — For the first time since the 1992 season, the West Alabama baseball team won a South Central Regional Tournament game, defeating the host and number-one seed Abilene Christian 8-4 on Friday afternoon to fend off elimination.
