LIVINGSTON,
Ala. –
The
University of West Alabama men's basketball team
to close regular-season on Saturday, February 24th,
as the Tigers play host to, Gulf South
Conference Eastern Division and in-state rival,
#18 Montevallo on Senior Night.
The UWA men
(10-16, 3-8 GSC) return home, having dropped
four straight contests, all on the road. The
Tigers, which are 8-4 at Pruitt Hall this
season, fell at Montevallo (21-5, 10-1) earlier
this season, 83-75.
Three Tigers
have averaged double figures this season. Stan
Gill leads the way with 16.3 points per game,
followed by Raymond Shaw and Jared Hembree.
Shaw, the leading rebounder for UWA with 6.8
boards per game, is averaging 11.7 points, while
Hembree is averaging 10.8 points per outing.
Greg Brown
leads the way for the Falcons with 20.8 points
per game, joined by Marcus Kennedy, who leads UM
on the boards with 7.2 a game, averaging 18.8
points an outing.
