LIVINGSTON, Ala. —After
a stretch of four games in seven days,
the University of West Alabama men’s
basketball team jumps back into action
this weekend, participating in the
Flagler Construction Equipment Classic,
hosted by Valdosta State University on
Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1.
UWA will face Eckerd
College in the opening game of the
two-day event at 3 p.m. CST. The
Tritons enter the contest riding a
three-game win streak after topping VSU
last Saturday. The Red and White will
usher in the month of December with a 3
p.m. tilt with Lynn University. The
Blue and White Fighting Knights have
reeled off back-to-back wins coming into
the tournament.
The Tigers will look
to halt a four-game losing streak after
dropping all four matches a week ago.
The squad is coming off back-to-back
losses on the road at Arkansas at
Monticello and Southern Arkansas.
After this weekend’s
activity, the Red and White will close
out the pre-Christmas home schedule with
match ups with Southern Arkansas on Dec.
5 and a Southeastern Bible College on
Dec. 7. Both games are set for 6 p.m.
at Pruitt Hall on the UWA campus.
