LIVINGSTON, Ala. —The
University of West Alabama men’s
basketball team will close out the
pre-Christmas holiday home schedule with
a 6 p.m. match up with Southeastern
Bible College out of Birmingham, Ala. on
Friday, Dec. 7 at Pruitt Hall on the UWA
campus.
The Tigers are coming
off a 71-61 setback to Southern Arkansas
on Wednesday night. Senior guard
Michael Billings turned in a career-best
27-point performance against SAU. The
Albany, Ga.-product connected on
11-of-19 from the field in 38 minutes of
action. Junior Kevin Johnson was
credited with 16 points and 13
rebounds. Brian Murphy leads the Red
and White offensive charge with an 11.8
scoring clip per contest.
The Sabers of SBC
enter the contest having dropped its
last three decisions. SBC has
registered wins over Oakwood College and
Oxford College.
UWA will have a
10-day break from competition before
suiting up against Clark Atlanta on
Tuesday, Dec. 18 at CAU’s L.S. Epps
Gymnasium.
