LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of
West Alabama men’s basketball team will
close out the Thanksgiving holiday break
with a match up against Miles College on
Saturday, Nov. 24 at Pruitt Hall. Tip
off is set for 4 p.m.
The
Tigers enter the game sporting a 1-1
record after opening the season with an
overtime win at Stillman and dropping
their home opener on Wednesday to Delta
State 96-77. The Golden Bears of MC
dropped their recent outing to Gulf
South Conference foe North Alabama.
Junior Chris Malone leads the UWA
offensive charge, averaging 16.5 points
a game after two starts. Malone has
connected on 9-of-15 from behind the
three-point arc. Junior Kevin Johnson
leads the squad in rebounds, sporting a
9.0 average. As a team, the Tigers have
hit 50 percent from the field thru two
games.
Following the tilt with MC, the Red and
White will trek to Arkansas to face
Arkansas at Monticello on Monday, Nov.
26, and then face Southern Arkansas on
Tuesday, Nov. 27. The UAM game is
slated to start at 6 p.m.
