UWA makes addition to signing class

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – University of West Alabama head football coach Bobby Wallace announced a big addition to the 2007 signing class, Monday afternoon.

The Tigers have added Garry Pack from Hattiesburg, Miss to the list of signees for UWA, bringing the total to 27 players.

Pack, who was an All-SEC performer at the University of Mississippi, was a three year letterman for the Rebels, where he drew 18 starts, recording 136 career tackles with 8.5 of those resulting in a loss of yardage.

Before arriving in Oxford, Pack prepped at Oak Grove High School under Nevil Barr helping the Warriors to a 32-9 record and three consecutive 5A playoff appearances. Pack received numerous honors at OGHS, including being named a member of SuperPrep Dixie Team, receiving The Clarion-Ledger's Mr. Football Award and First Team All-State. Pack was the only player from the state of Mississippi to be named to the Orlando Sentinel's 2003 All-Southern Football Team and was ranked by Tom Lemming, of ESPN.com, as the nation's 25th-best "inside presence" and nation's No. 31 linebacker prospect by collegefootballnews.com.
