LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
University of West Alabama
head football coach Bobby Wallace announced a
big addition to the
2007 signing class, Monday afternoon.
The Tigers have added
Garry Pack from Hattiesburg, Miss to the list of signees
for UWA, bringing the total to 27 players.
Pack, who was an
All-SEC performer at the University of Mississippi, was a three year
letterman for the Rebels, where he
drew 18 starts, recording 136 career tackles with 8.5 of
those resulting in a loss of yardage.
Before arriving in
Oxford, Pack prepped at Oak
Grove High School under Nevil Barr helping the Warriors
to a 32-9 record and three consecutive 5A playoff
appearances. Pack received numerous honors at OGHS,
including being named a member of SuperPrep Dixie Team,
receiving The Clarion-Ledger's Mr. Football Award and
First Team All-State. Pack was the only player from the
state of Mississippi to be named to the Orlando
Sentinel's 2003 All-Southern Football Team and was
ranked by Tom Lemming, of ESPN.com, as the nation's
25th-best "inside presence" and nation's No. 31
linebacker prospect by collegefootballnews.com.
