2007: Played in all 10 games for UWA … Recorded 41 tackles with 3.5 going for a loss … Picked off two passes and had a forced fumble and fumble recovery for 12 yards … Recorded a career-high seven tackles twice during the season … The first seven tackle effort was September 15 at Southern Arkansas and tied the mark on November 3 against Delta State.

Prior to UWA: Played two seasons at Jacksonville State for Jack Crowe … Totaled 41 career tackles with two interceptions … Saw action on the JSU special teams as a punt and kickoff returner with six total returns … His lone punt return went for a 37 yard touchdown … Helped the Gamecocks to back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference Championships … Was named OVC Player of the Week in 2004.

Prep: Prepped at Anniston High School … Was a two year captain for the Bulldogs … Was named All-County in 2001 and 2002 … In one game in 2002, he rushed, threw and caught a touchdown against Fort Payne, totaling 312 all-purpose yards … A three sport athlete at AHS, also played basketball and baseball … Was an All-County performer in basketball in 2002 and 2003, along with All-State in 2002.
