LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West Alabama women’s basketball team
concludes a three-game homestand on Wednesday, December
12th, as the Tigers (2-4) host Georgia
Southwestern in a 5:30 p.m. contest.
UWA, which toppled
Martin Methodist on Saturday, posted its largest margin
of victory, 17 points, against the RedHawks at Pruitt
Hall.
The Tigers are led by
Jessica Thompson and Ashton Washington, both averaging
over 15 points a contest this season. Thompson, a
Valhermoso Springs, Ala.-native, is averaging 15.5
points an outing, while Washington, a product of
Lexington, Miss., is averaging 16.5 points and nine
rebounds a game.
Following the final
home game of 2007 for West Alabama, the Red and White
will close out the pre-holiday schedule at the Delta
State hosted Lloyd Clark Classic next week. UWA will
face tournament host DSU on Monday, December 17th
at 6 p.m. before ending the tournament on Tuesday,
December 18th against North Georgia at 4 p.m. |
