CLEVELAND,
Miss. –University
of West Alabama baseball player Todd Rea
was named to the NCAA Division II South
Central Regional Team at the conclusion
of the regional on Monday afternoon.
Rea, a Middleburg,
Fla.-native, concluded his season with a
.375 batting average in the regional,
while recording eight RBI and two runs
scored with a homerun and a double. The
senior is a two-time All-Gulf South
Conference selection and a unanimous
All-GSC Academic First Team honoree.
Rea finished among
Tiger leaders this season in doubles
(third), homeruns (fourth), stolen bases
(fourth), games played (fourth) and
slugging percentage (fifth). In his
two-year career at UWA, Rea finished
with a .311 batting average with 62 runs
scored and 90 RBI.
