LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The
University of West Alabama baseball
team fell 12 spots to No. 22 in the
latest PING!Baseball Top 30 Rankings
after going 2-2 on the weekend at
Tartt Field.
The Tigers, who are 8-6 on the
season, swept St. Joseph’s
College, including 13-3 run-rule win
on Sunday afternoon, but was swept
by Ouachita Baptist.
Gulf South Conference West Division
member Southern Arkansas remained
tops in the poll with Central
Missouri in second. Lynn and Tampa
are third and fourth respectively
while Cal State Stanislaus rounds
out the top five teams.
OBU dropped to sixth after going 2-3
on the week. West Florida continues
to hold the No. 27 spot with Delta
State falling to 29th,
rounding out the GSC side in the
poll.
UWA fell out of the Collegiate
Baseball Newspaper poll, but did
receive votes.
West Alabama returns to action on
Wednesday, Feb. 25, as the Tigers
travel to Stillman College. First
pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
