LIVINGSTON, Ala. – After a
hiatus from the national collegiate
baseball polls, the University of
West Alabama breaks back into the
national spotlight after going 4-0
on the week with a neutral site,
midweek win over Delta State and
then a sweep of Montevallo over the
weekend. UWA (20-8, 5-0 GSC) is 20th
in the latest Collegiate Baseball
Newspaper Poll and 16th
in the Ping! Baseball Poll.
The Tigers are currently riding a
nine-game win streak dating back to
the 9-7 win at the University of
Arkansas at Monticello on March 8.
During the win streak, UWA has
outscored its opponents 93-45 and
have picked up seven region wins.
Southern Arkansas is the top GSC
school in each poll. The Muleriders
(24-7) are the nation’s leader in
the PING! Poll and are fifth in the
CBN. North Alabama and DSU are also
among the GSC members represented in
both polls.
West Alabama returns to the diamond
on Wednesday, March 25, as the
Tigers host Auburn Montgomery at
4:00 p.m. Live stats will be
