#20 Tigers Travel to Auburn Montgomery

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The 20th-ranked University of West Alabama baseball team travels to Montgomery, Ala. on Wednesday, April 2, as the Tigers (29-8, 5-4 Gulf South Conference) face Auburn Montgomery for a mid-week contest. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the AUM Baseball Complex.

UWA, which finished last week with a 3-3 record, will meet the Senators (28-11) for the 48th time in the series, which began in 1987. The Senators hold the all-time advantage between the two schools with a 28-19 mark.

The Tigers, who enter the contest after being swept at Valdosta State in GSC action over the weekend, have claimed seven of the last 10 meetings against AUM, including four consecutive. The last meeting came earlier this season, as the Tigers blanked the Senators 4-0 at Tartt Field.

AUM, which is scheduled to host Tuskegee in a doubleheader on Tuesday, is currently riding a three-game win streak after sweeping Reinhardt College over the weekend in Southern States Athletic Conference action.

West Alabama returns to conference play on Saturday, April 5, as the Tigers host West Florida in a three-game series. First pitch of Saturday’s doubleheader is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. with Sunday’s finale scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The games will be carried on Y-104.9-FM and athletics.uwa.edu.
