Prior to UWA: Played in four games with one
official at-bat and tallied three runs at SSU in 2008, after being
redshirted in 2007.
Prep: A 2006 graduate of Brighton HS in
Tennessee...was a three-sport athlete for the Cardinals playing
basketball, baseball and football...played shortstop for four seasons
under head coach Brian Oswalt...helped lead Brighton to the District
Tournament championship with a 33-19 record, batting .410 with a .544
on-base percentage, .619 slugging percentage, 38 hits, 26 RBIs, 22
stolen bases, 26 walks and three home runs...for his efforts, he was
named all-district and earned the Silver Bat Award during both his
junior and senior seasons...as a junior, he was named to the
all-District Tournament team and won the Coaches Award as well as being
named Offensive MVP...in football, he was named receiver of the year as
a junior and to the all-region team as both a junior and senior...was
also a Best of the West nominee...lists one of his greatest performances
against crosstown rival Munford HS on senior night, scoring three
touchdowns and one extra point.

and Pauline Jennings...major is kinesiology with a minor in sports
medicine...would like to play professional baseball...cousin Jim
