LIVINGSTON, Ala. –
The University of West Alabama announced that 61 student-athletes
received academic honors from UWA with 11 being named to the President’s
List and 50 to the Dean’s List.
Men’s basketball, men’s tennis and softball each placed
three on the President’s List this semester with football and women’s tennis
each adding one to the list. To reach the President’s List, students must
earn at least a 3.80 grade point average while attempting at least twelve
semester hours.
Football registered 15 of the 51 student-athletes on
the Dean’s List. Women’s basketball added eight with baseball and volleyball
each adding six. Softball placed five on the list with women’s tennis
adding four and men’s tennis supplying three. Men’s basketball, women’s
cross country, men’s cross country and rodeo each added one to the Dean’s
List. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must obtain at least a 3.25
grade point average and attempt at least twelve semester hours.
UWA had a total of 49 student-athletes receive academic
honors during the fall semester. 18 were named to the President’s List with
31 on the Dean’s List.
