Women Travel to North Alabama to Open Gulf South Conference
Action The University of West Alabama women’s
basketball team opens up Gulf South Conference play Thursday,
Jan. 8, as the UWA (5-8) travels to Florence, Ala. to face
instate foe North Alabama. Tip-off is slated for 6:00 p.m. at
Flowers Hall. The game will be aired on WZNJ 106.5-FM. and at

The University of West Alabama women’s basketball team posted a
season-high 75 points in a 75-67 win over Southern Arkansas in
the second day of the West Florida Holiday Classic on Tuesday
afternoon. The point total came behind a 51.9 shooting
percentage from the floor, also a season-high for UWA (4-8).
